A STANDARD SOLAR INSTALLATION
Solar panels need sunlight in order to produce electricity. It doesn’t need to be a clear sunny day, solar panels can also produce electricity on an overcast day, but they only generate energy during daylight hours. With a standard solar panel installation you will need to draw some electricity from the National Grid to power your home during the night. However, you can also sell any surplus solar energy you produce during the day back to the National Grid.

With the addition of a solar battery you can store up the solar energy produced during the day so that it can be used during the night when your solar panels are not producing electricity.
